The latest indieVelo update V0.2.43 released April 1, 2024, includes Android mobile and tablet release, paving the way for Apple versions, starting with iOS for iPhones and iPads.
In another huge step forward, indieVelo is now openly available on Android. The Android mobile and tablet release is freely downloadable by anyone signed up to the indieVelo Beta.
Go to https://indievelo.com/downloads and click on “Get it on Google Play.”
With this significant milestone in the bag, indieVelo plans to focus more on the Apple versions of indieVelo, starting with iOS for iPhones and iPads.
indieVelo will roll it out to members of the indieVelo Founders Club first. If you would like to be among the first to test and give your feedback, please sign up here:

As always, there are many other additions, improvements, and fixes throughout this week’s release (see below for full details). They include the ability for Team Managers to now configure various settings for their teams (ahead of this information being more widely displayed in-game for riders) and the much-asked-for option to be able to dismiss the junction direction selection UI (select a direction twice) to revert to normal in-game controls immediately.
Other changes include better controls, extended trainer hardware compatibility, improved UI, and an enormous number of behind-the-scenes infrastructure improvements to make indieVelo smaller, faster and more efficient for you to use.
One critical change worth highlighting is an update to indieVelo’s privacy and security settings, which will mean that you will need to re-enter your username/password as an “Existing Account” the next time you log in (and update some graphics/audio/ pairing settings), so please don’t be surprised if you don’t see the automatic login option until this is done.
Note for Mac Bluetooth users: If you find that the Bluetooth icon on the pairing screen has turned red, please follow the instructions linked from https://wiki.indievelo.com/docs/apple-mac-ble-permissions/ to first completely remove, and then re-add, permission for indieVelo to use the Mac Bluetooth connection.
Do you want to steepen your indieVelo learning curve? Check out our How-to-Guides page for details!
If all has gone well, you shouldn’t have to do anything to get the new version, as indieVelo will self-update the next time you start it up. If you find any problems, however, instructions on how to manually update are on the website: https://wiki.indievelo.com/docs/updates
Please note that, depending on when you installed indieVelo, you may see a warning message recommending that you update the installer/launcher to the latest version. If you see this, download it again from https://indievelo.com/downloads, and the update will automatically apply. The entire process typically takes a minute or two, often much less.
The full patch notes are below!
“Finally, a reminder that there are no April Fools on indieVelo, just high quality training and racing. Don’t forget that there are still those 5 Traditional Easter Eggs hiding in plain sight throughout the world for you to find while out riding – the new monthly challenge takes you right next to one, but can you find them all?”
