Virtual Velo Podcast-Ep. 41: A New Era

In Part One of Episode 41 of the Virtual Velo Podcast, Chris and Si welcome elite cycling esports racer and award-winning cycling journalist Aaron Borrill. “Captain South Africa” shares how Cycling South Africa supports their National Cycling Esports team as a unique cycling discipline and how he plans to help get his teammates ready for the 2024 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships on MyWhoosh.

Good luck to Emma. I listen to her every Sunday morning with the Sunday Race Club whilst I’m doing my own endurance ride on MyWhoosh so you’ve made a great choice. Good luck to Si also, the workouts on demand feature in MyWhoosh seems to be getting great feedback. I hope he does have a good involvement in events on MyWhoosh. It’s surprised me so far that there is a lack of well known real life events having digital esports versions to compliment them regardless of platform. Maybe MyWhoosh could produce that week long Tour of Arabia, Tour of Colombia etc. That would be an excellent way of driving esports.
