The indieVelo "Forest Velodrome" Route-.5km (.3 mi), elevation 0m (0 ft)-the only one of its kind in cycling esports!
Route Description
One of the eighteen original Beta routes rolled out on The Island in 2023, the Forest Velodrome generates extreme reactions: you hate it or love it.
It is repulsive or addictive. You spend most of your time there or avoid being anywhere close to it.
Being an unconditional fan of the Velodrome, sometimes I feel like a flat earther presenting my theories in the middle of a crowd of astrophysics.
It is the perfect route for 5, 10, and 20 minutes tests, though, as the flatitude of the route allows full control of your power.
It is the perfect route for long to extremely long non ERG Z2 workouts in which you are planning to vaguely pay attention to the indieVelo screen because your brain will be obnubilated by your tablet displaying some Hambini YouTube video destroying your favorite bike frame, you’re watching “Tour de Pharmacy” for the 1,763th time or shouting and cheering live at Pogi and Vingegaard battle in a climbing stage of the Tour de France.
It is also a great place to train yourself to indieVelo’s dynamics, understand how the draft works, and how the wind affects the overall riding. Since it is a 500m ring, you can experience the feel of it from all directions and immediately perceive the differences it creates without having any other influencing parameters.
Vive le Velodrome!!!!
