Good fortune was shining down on us. It was going to be a good day!

I made some new friends! Bob and Peg were from Anchorage, AK, and 4.5 months into their adventure. Like us, they planned to ride to the East Coast and Interior, SD, for the evening. Peg enjoyed the convenience of the Schwenk Tank rolling toilet. Good luck, Bob and Peg!

Conor passed his RV driving test!

The Badlands National Park was good.

So was the Badlands-White River KOA in Interior, SD.

The most local IPA I could find in town was from Rhode Island. The only watering hole we could find in Interior was shoulder-to-shoulder with cowboys, REAL cowboys! It seems hydration is essential for roping and bronco-bustin’ too!
I would have felt intimidated being the only guy in the place without a cowboy hat if I didn’t walk by bikes to get there. I did feel like the only one in the place who couldn’t kick my ass was my Son. Sorry! No beer pics!

The population of Interior, SD, increases exponentially on the fourth of July. Add the Schwenk Tank three. N+3

Yes, it’s my first rodeo! Yes, it was badass!

It was a good day!
About the DIRT Dad Fundo Pledge for Day Twenty-Six—Drew Maier
Here is what Drew had to say—”I’ve been riding indoors since November 2020 after getting my first real road bike in August of the same year. During the pandemic lockdowns, I lost 50 pounds and took my health more seriously. I found Eat DIRT in March of 2021 and have been riding ZRL, TTT, and other races with that awesome group ever since! Exercise and cycling have become a vital part of my day. I ride early in the morning before my nearly 4-year-old daughter wakes up and it helps put me in a great frame of mind for the day. The DIRT Dad Fund is a great example of what a community of people can accomplish! All of DIRT has been nothing short of accepting and supportive. I look forward to the future riding with DIRT both virtually and in real life when I can manage the meetups. Good luck Chris!!”
Amount Raised to Date—$5,793
Thank you, Drew!
