The latest TrainingPeaks Virtual update, v0.4.22, released April 28th, enhances Bluetooth connectivity to make it just work better!
Editor’s note: Since early June 2023, we’ve highlighted the rapid evolution of indieVelo with weekly update posts. Not everyone receives the emails or is a member of the various social media groups, and the more searchable mentions available, the better to promote the indieVelo, err, Training Peaks Virtual vision. The name is different, and the once-a-week cadence might change, but the commitment to promoting the platform hasn’t wavered.
A Note From the George Gilbert, TrainingPeaks Virtual Founder: |
Have you found all the eggs yet? With just a few days remaining in the annual TrainingPeaks Virtual Easter Egg Hunt, riders have collectively uncovered approaching 100,000 eggs – and counting! Remember, finding all 10 eggs puts you in the running to be one of our lucky prize winners. Don’t miss your chance for some egg-citing rewards…
Meanwhile, our commitment to delivering a seamless experience continues. This week’s release brings major enhancements to Bluetooth connectivity, including faster and more reliable pairing, reduced lag, and improved ERG mode functionality across all platforms. We’ve also introduced several user interface tweaks and expanded support for third-party workouts, such as those generated by ChatGPT and other online sources.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to defining the future of virtual sport, working together with the community to shape the roadmap together. That plan will be guided by the needs of dedicated athletes, coaches and event organizers such as yourself and we’d love to hear your ideas for the features and experiences you want and need. Share your vision, discuss suggestions from others, and cast your votes in our dedicated Virtual UserVoice channel.

Thank you all again for your support. All of this is only possible because we are listening to and acting on your suggestions for what committed athletes want and need. Please continue to share your thoughts and ideas of what you would like to see in future releases on the dedicated UserVoice channel, as well as vote and discuss the ideas from others.
In Episode 58 of the Virtual Velo Podcast, Chris and Emma welcome Dirk Friel, co-founder and Chief Evangelist of Training Peaks, and Dr. George Gilbert, the creator of indieVelo, to discuss their newly formed partnership and the launch of Training Peaks Virtual.
