The latest TrainingPeaks Virtual update, v0.4.19, released April 2nd, adds more roads, routes, and bike choices!
Editor’s note: Since early June 2023, we’ve highlighted the rapid evolution of indieVelo with weekly update posts. Not everyone receives the emails or is a member of the various social media groups, and the more searchable mentions available, the better to promote the indieVelo, err, Training Peaks Virtual vision. The name is different, and the once-a-week cadence might change, but the commitment to promoting the platform hasn’t wavered.
A Note From the George Gilbert, TrainingPeaks Virtual Founder: |
This week’s release of TrainingPeaks Virtual is jam packed full of goodies – more roads, more routes and more bikes to ride! With over 150km of new routes to ride on new top-of-the-range bike frames from Giant, Scott and Aurum, there’s more than ever for you to do and see, in style, in Virtual.

Please continue to share your thoughts and ideas of what you would like to see in future releases on the dedicated UserVoice channel, as well as vote and discuss the ideas from others.
As usual, there’s also a huge number of other additions, improvements and fixes. These include even wider support for importing custom workout files, UI updates to make everything easier to use and greater support for FIT files on ultra low memory devices. On top of that there’s a new monthly challenge for April, improved cornering physics, and continued background updates to the infrastructure that keeps everything running smoothly.
