The latest TrainingPeaks Virtual update, v0.4.8, released January 13th, adds private "Zen" mode and enhanced function to TPVirtualHub.
Editor’s note: Since early June 2023, we’ve highlighted the rapid evolution of indieVelo with weekly update posts. Not everyone receives the emails or is a member of the various social media groups, and the more searchable mentions available, the better to promote the indieVelo, err, Training Peaks Virtual vision. The name is different, and the once-a-week cadence might change, but the commitment to promoting the platform hasn’t wavered.
A Note From the George Gilbert, TrainingPeaks Virtual Founder: |
TrainingPeaks Virtual remains completely focused on delivering the online experiences committed athletes and coaches want and need.
By listening to the feedback on our dedicated TrainingPeaks Virtual UserVoice forum, in just the three months since launching we’ve now implemented over 100 of your suggestions.
This week’s release (see below for more details), headlines with more of your ideas, including the new Zen Mode, enabling you to train in peace and focus on your own riding without the distraction of other riders or chat. There are also numerous other of your suggestions fresh off the keyboard, including displaying your laptop / mobile / tablet battery level & charging status, deeper integration between
TrainingPeaks Virtual and the Virtual Hub, and improved rubberbanding to keep riders of different abilities together in group rides and group workouts. There’s also the usual wide mix of bug fixes and infrastructure changes to keep everything running smoothly as we continue to rapidly grow in scale.
In Episode 58 of the Virtual Velo Podcast, Chris and Emma welcome Dirk Friel, co-founder and Chief Evangelist of Training Peaks, and Dr. George Gilbert, the creator of indieVelo, to discuss their newly formed partnership and the launch of Training Peaks Virtual.
Please continue to share your ideas on UserVoice, or discuss and vote on those from others, and we’ll keep building those features that you ask for. Your feedback is hugely appreciated and makes an enormous difference to the features we work on for you.
