indieVelo's Sprinters Climb course is a 3.5km (2.2mi.) route with 34m (111.5ft.) of elevation, dubbed "A sprinter's ideas of a hard climb."
Route Description
Introduced in late April 2024 as one of 5 new routes in release V0.2.47, indieVelo’s Sprinters Climb, described as “A sprinter’s idea of a hard climb,” is a short blast along the Coastal Route then up to the Velodrome, tailor-made for Time Challenges or back-to-back mini races.
After a flat 1.8 km (1.12 miles) heading south along the west coast of The Island, you turn inland for the 1.4 km (0.87 mile) climb to the velodrome.
When you enter the velodrome, you will complete only half of a lap (250 meters or 820 feet) before you cross the finish line.
The climb never has a gradient of more than a brief pitch of 4%, so it is a very fast ~90-second effort at race pace, which is draftable all the way.
You just have to leave something for your sprint finish at the end of that climb.
Thank you, Beta-tester Rob Miller!
