The latest TrainingPeaks Virtual update, v0.4.3, released November 18th, 2024, includes added login support for events calendar and results.
Editor’s note: Since early June 2023, we’ve highlighted the rapid evolution of indieVelo with weekly update posts. Not everyone receives the emails or is a member of the various social media groups, and the more searchable mentions available, the better to promote the indieVelo, err, Training Peaks Virtual vision. The name is different, and the once-a-week cadence might change, but the commitment to promoting the platform hasn’t wavered.
A Note From the George Gilbert, TrainingPeaks Virtual Founder: |
I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for the feedback sent on TrainingPeaks Virtual. We are completely focused on delivering experiences that committed athletes and coaches want and need. After launching less than two weeks ago, we listened to your comments and support for Apple TV (…or should that be Apple TPV?) was by far the most requested addition. We quickly decided to change our roadmap in response and have now released Apple TV support as the first major new feature. |
In Episode 58 of the Virtual Velo Podcast, Chris and Emma welcome Dirk Friel, co-founder and Chief Evangelist of Training Peaks, and Dr. George Gilbert, the creator of indieVelo, to discuss their newly formed partnership and the launch of Training Peaks Virtual.
This week’s release of TrainingPeaks Virtual also contains a number of highly requested items (see below for full details), including added login support for the TrainingPeaks Virtual online events calendar, as well as results pages, at TP Virtual Hub using your TrainingPeaks username and password.
Other changes include improved and expanded language translations, better Performance Verification checks on every individual rider in all ranked races, and a range of infrastructure improvements to keep everything running smoothly as we continue to scale up rapidly.
Additionally, the development team updated the TrainingPeaks Virtual End User License Agreement (EULA) and Privacy Policy to make it clear that by creating a TrainingPeaks account in TrainingPeaks Virtual, the TrainingPeaks policies also apply.
TrainingPeaks Virtual will just self-update the next time you open the app. If you find any problems, please follow instructions on how to manually update here.
